Hours is a rough range based on a typical pace of 1,500–2,500 drills per hour, which varies a lot by experience level and how often you take breaks – treat this as a ballpark, not a deadline.
Diamond painting canvases use a fixed resolution rather than a variable fabric count, so drill count scales predictably with canvas area and drill size. Standard canvases use a 2.5mm drill spacing, though some kits use slightly larger 2.8mm or 3mm drills for a faster, less detailed finish.
